Abortion (new version)

Good evening, ladies and gentlemen.

How often have you seen a new life being destroyed before it even started? How often do you see an unborn child, incapable of doing anything, die a death that should never be experienced by anybody? Therefore, my presence here today is to tell you why abortion should never have been legalized.

Firstly, abortion regardless on purpose or of medical reasons, can be considered as murder. It not only has a negative impact on the mothers but also on the country. Birth rates will decrease rapidly resulting in insufficient young people to take over the seats of the previous generation.

Many people, not only teenagers, may practice casual sex without thinking for they know that they can use abortion to get rid of unwanted pregnancies. Clinics would be flocked with women for abortion. Would you, distinguished guests, want that to happen? Let people simply end lives so that they can enjoy while others suffer?

Other than that, abortions could also cause defects in future pregnancies. Birth defects, premature birth, low infant birth weight, increased chances of an ectopic pregnancy, miscarriages or even infant death are just some common problems faced.

Worst cases are that women might not be able to conceive again due to the damage done to the womb during the abortion. The pain of yearning for a baby yet powerless to reproduce, no one deserves that kind of torture.

Abortion could also cause death, considering that the risk of death from abortion increases the longer a woman has been pregnant. Sometimes there may even be incomplete abortion.

In other words, the embryo or fetus is not completely removed from the womb; leaving behind other products of conception. This could cause an allergic reaction, an infection, very heavy bleeding, injury to the cervix or blood clots in the uterus.

Have you realized now, ladies and gentlemen? I beg of you to open your eyes and let your hearts see the truth. Abortion is not a soloution, was never a soloution, but a cause of more problems. It is not fair for women to suffer because they turn to abortion just because abortion is legal! Therefore, ladies and gentlemen, my conclusion is that abortion should not have even been legalized.
